With heavy hearts and deep love, we share that Martha Rivas Jaime passed away on April 9, 2025. She was 60 years old.
Martha was born on December 14, 1964, in San Antonio, Texas, to George R. Rivas and Dolores Longoria Rivas. From the very beginning, she brought sweetness, light, and warmth into the world-and she carried that gentle spirit with her every day of her life.
If you knew Martha, you know how much she loved the color pink, butterflies, and her cozy home, affectionately called "Lazy Pup Ranch." Animals were always part of her world, and her pets were like family. She loved strolling the trails around her property, soaking up the sunshine, and feeling the breeze on her skin-always connected to the simple, beautiful things in life.
Martha was the kind of person who always had a smile on her face and a laugh ready to share. She had a calm, kind spirit-you never saw her angry. She loved deeply and gave freely, and spending time with her felt like a soft hug for the soul.
Her greatest joy came from her family, especially her precious granddaughter, Haileyann. Whether it was giving wheelchair rides, cuddling up to watch something on TV, or just sharing giggles and stories, the bond they shared was something truly special.
She also had a creative spark-she loved scrapbooking, planting trees, and traveling. She was a fan of a good mystery (she never missed a chance to tune into the ID Channel!) and a true lover of music. Her playlists included Gary Allan, TobyMac, Lee Brice, and a healthy dose of 80s classics. Some of her favorite memories were dancing and singing along at Lee Brice concerts with her daughter, Adrianna.
Martha was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Baldemar Jaime; her sons, Brandon and Michael Jaime; her brother, Robert Rivas; sister, Susanne San Roman; and her parents, George and Dolores. We take comfort in knowing they are together again.
She is survived by her daughter, Adrianna Carey; her granddaughter, Haileyann Carey; her siblings, Maria Palacios, Kathy Rivas, and Marcus Rivas; and her dearest friends and caregivers, Diana Bost and Demetri Brown. She also leaves behind Natalie Bost, Priscilla and Tresean Bradshaw, her many nieces and nephews - including Natalie Reyes, Arty Flores, Teresa San Roman, and Jazmin Rios - as well as a wide circle of extended family, friends, and of course, her beloved pets.
Martha's life was filled with love, laughter, and light. She made everyone feel welcome, safe, and seen. Her memory will live on in the trees she planted, the music she loved, the lives she touched, and the love she gave so freely.
A celebration of her life will be held at MeadowLawn Funeral Home at a later date. In her honor, we invite you to plant a tree, play a favorite song, or give a little extra love to an animal in need-just a few of the things that made Martha's heart full.
We will miss her every day, but we will carry her spirit with us always.

My condolences to the family. My name is Rachel Garcia. I remember working concessions with Martha and her dad at the stadium during middle school. Martha was always soft spoken and fun to be around. She will truly be missed.
