Martha F. (Eickholt) Kaverman
Martha F. (Eickholt) Kaverman, 93, of Delphos, passed away surrounded by her loving family Tuesday morning, July 23, 2024, at Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay.
She was born Feb. 9, 1931, in Ottoville, to Leo and Mary (Smith) Eickholt, who preceded in death. She married Louis R. Kaverman on Aug. 17, 1955, and he preceded her in death Sept. 23, 2019.
Martha is survived by three daughters, Jane (Nicholas) Horstman and Elaine (John) Luersman both of Delphos, and Sharon (Robert) Stechschulte of Findlay; grandchildren, Chad (Ashlee) Horstman, Jason (Ashley) Horstman, Tiffany (Bryan) Maas, Courtney (Andrew) Flinn, Katie (Ryan) Steele, Christie (James) Heisel, Melissa (Matthew) Christ, and Matthew (Nikki) Stechschulte; great-grandchildren, Caiden Horstman, Grayson Horstman, Sophia Maas, Sawyer Maas, Josephine Flinn, Charlotte Flinn, Adalynn Heisel, Benton Heisel, Olivia Christ, Nicholas Christ, Breanna Christ, Caroline Stechschulte, Meredith Stechschulte, and Michael Stechschulte; in-laws, Alene Klausing of Delphos and Janet Hiett of Spencerville; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her grandsons, Brett Luersman and Bryan Stechschulte; great-grandchildren, Camilla Heisel and Gabriel Heisel; siblings, Lawrence (Fredonna) Eickholt, Jerome (Anna Marie) Eickholt, Rita (Gilbert) Ricker, and Irene (Leo) Schnipke; and in-laws, Betty (Leonard) Beckmann, Alice (Norman) Knippen, Margaret (Paul) Pohlman, Dorothy (Robert) Heitz, Eugene (Esther) Kaverman, Richard Klausing, Tom Hiett, and Ruth (Ed) Utrup.
Martha graduated from Ottoville High School. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Delphos, life member of Veterans of Foreign War Post 3035 Auxiliary of Delphos, and member of Delphos Canal Commission and Catholic Daughters of America.
Martha was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker for many years. After the children were in school, she worked at Lazarus in Lima where she later retired. She also volunteered for various charity organizations in Delphos. She enjoyed music, dancing with Louis, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 26, 2024, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos, where a Parish Wake Service will begin at 7:45 p.m.
