Martha Hise "Betty" Koon

Martha "Betty" Hise Koon, 78, of Manchester, TN, passed away peacefully at her residence on February 6, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Franklin County, TN, she was the daughter of the late Malcom Edgar and Ella Mae Jones Tuck. Betty was a faithful member of the New Center Grove Church of Christ prior to her illness. Betty worked as a dedicated dental assistant for over 30 years, and was known for her warmth, kindness, and the deep love she had for her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be remembered for her nurturing spirit and joyful presence.
In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her first husband and the father of their two sons, Kenneth Wayne Hise; brothers Linzie Jones Tuck and Charles Edgar Tuck; and sisters Rachel Katherine Luttrell and Jessie Florence Tuck Hice.
She is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Haskell Ray Koon; her sons, Randall (Dale) Hise of Franklin, TN, and Brent (Jania) Hise of Monroe, GA; her stepchildren, Andy Koon (Teresa Carrick), Scott (Lynn) Koon, and Chris (Connie) Koon, all of Manchester, TN; and one sister, Anna "Pinky" Tant. She is also survived by a host of grandchildren, including Lexie Hise Jajo (Doug), Blake Hise, Lawson (Kelly) Hise, Matthew Hise, Amanda McClain, Jared (Whitney) Koon, Cody Koon, Austin Koon, Kelsey Koon, Taylor Koon Farless (Gabe), Dylan Koon, Skyler Koon, along with several nieces, nephews, and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Mrs. Betty Hise Koon will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 11:00am -1:00pm at Faith Lutheran Church, Tullahoma, with the funeral service beginning at 1:00pm, Pastor Martin Nutter to officiate.
Interment will follow at the New Center Grove Church of Christ Cemetery, Estill Springs, TN.
The pallbearers for Betty's service will be grandsons Blake Hise, Lawson Hise, Matthew Hise, Jared Koon, Cody Koon, and Austin Koon.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Betty's honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Shriners Hospital, or the Hospice of the Highland Rim Foundation.
