EDWARDS- Martha C. Lennox, age 81, of Edwards, NY passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 18, 2025 surrounded by her family at Samaritan Summit Village in Watertown.

Martha was born on May 22, 1944 in Benson Mines, NY to the late Crandall and Bertha J. (LaTray) LaPlant, Sr. On June 27, 1964 Martha married the love of her life, Frederick W. Lennox at St. Hubert's Church in Star Lake with Rev. Francis Beyette officiating. Together, they built a life filled with love, hard work, and devotion to family until Frederick's passing on February 25, 2009.

Martha is survived by her son, Michael Lennox and his wife Lisa of Watertown; her cherished grandchildren, Nicholas and Kacy Lennox, who were her pride and joy; her brother-in-law, Jan and his wife Patty Lennox; her sister-in-law, Sherry (William) LaPlant; her niece, Renee Rouillier, who was like a daughter to her, along with many other nieces, nephews and cousins who will lovingly remember her.

She was predeceased by her parents; her brothers, Crandall, John, Richard, Robert and William LaPlant; and her sister Carol Whitmarsh.

Martha was a longtime member of the Edwards Auxiliary and found great happiness in supporting her family's sporting events and adventures. She was also a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edwards. She especially enjoyed her years working alongside family at Lennox Grocery Store in Edwards, where she formed lasting friendships and enjoyed being a part of the community. Above all, her greatest joy came from time spent with her grandchildren, Nicholas and Kacy.

Martha's kindness, warmth, and love for her family will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

In keeping with Martha's wishes, there will be no services. Arrangements are entrusted to French Funeral Home, Edwards. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com.

The Lennox family would like to thank Samaritan Summit Village, especially the third floor skilled nursing unit for all of their care and support.
