Martha "Marty" Wayne Busbin, born on June 6, 1946, in Humboldt, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at her residence in the Waterloo community in Irwin County, on December 2, 2024. She is remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, and doting grandmother, who filled her family’s lives with warmth and joy.
A memorial service will be conducted by her church at Fair Haven Primitive Baptist Church at 1:30 P.M. on Sunday, December 8, 2024 with Elder Jonathan Moseley officiating.
Marty was a retired bookkeeper, having built a successful career while being self-employed. Her keen mind and attention to detail were reflected in her professional work, but it was her dedication to her family that truly defined her life. She graduated from high school in Mobile, Alabama.
One of Marty’s greatest joys was taking care of her husband, Harry LaDon Busbin. Together, they created a loving home filled with laughter and happiness. Marty had a deep affection for her animals. Marty cherished the time spent with her children and grandchildren, especially her last vacation at Disney during the 2024 Thanksgiving holiday. This trip encapsulated her spirit, as it was a celebration of family love and togetherness that she held dear.
She leaves behind her husband of fifty-eight years, Harry aka Don; her son, Fredrick Busbin (Laura) of Nashville, Georgia; her grandchildren, Nikki Busbin, Mykeal Busbin and his girlfriend Courtney, Hope Busbin, Alisa Busbin and Dixi Busbin; as well as her cherished great-grandchildren, Abi Busbin, Maya Busbin and Callie Busbin.
Marty is preceded in death by her father, Fred Ricks; her mother, Juanita Harris; and her beloved grandson, Jonathan Busbin. They always held a special place in her heart.Martha “Marty” Wayne Busbin will be deeply missed by her family, who will carry forward her legacy of love, kindness, and devotion. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
