Martha Sue McCain

Martha Sue McCain, age 87 of Winchester, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System. She was born on July 22, 1936, in Birmingham, Alabama. She was a proud alumni of the Christian Home and Bible School in Mount Dora, Florida. She received her BS degree from Lipscomb University (David Lipscomb College) in Nashville. Before her retirement, she had been employed in various occupations, including serving as a Home Extension Agent for both Tennessee and Florida. She was also employed in the food service industry. She was the owner of a successful tearoom in Georgia and was the author of a cookbook based on her experiences cooking and baking. Martha Sue enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She also enjoyed cheering for the Atlanta Braves and the Florida Gators. Martha Sue is survived by her loving siblings, Virginia Rey (Robert J.) Salmon, and Raymond L. "Rusty" (Mary Ann) McCain; and several cousins and nephews. Visitation will be from 11:00 am- 12:00 pm on Monday, February 5, 2024, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
