Martha McIntyre Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Smith Family Funeral & Crematory Services, LLC - Smyrna on Feb. 2, 2026.
Martha Ann McIntyre, age 77, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026, at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro, TN.

Martha was born April 15, 1948, in Martin, TN. She graduated from Austin Peay State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1987. She retired from the Defense Contract Audit Agency after 20 years and was a Certified Public Accountant. After her retirement, she worked as a Real Estate Agent. She also loved to volunteer for Meals on Wheels.

Martha was the most selfless, generous, resilient, and kind-hearted person. She was a loving mother, Nana, and sister. She loved her family, friends, and her dog, Jake. She lived her life to the fullest despite the many challenges she faced throughout her life. She loved crafting, shopping, and collecting seashells and shark teeth at the beach. She also loved listening to Elvis Presley songs, going on cruises, and going to the casino. Her favorite color was pink, which reflected her loving nature.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy Sudberry and Edwin Gehrt.

She is survived by her daughter Holly Cameron (Jon), and son John McIntyre; her grandchildren Ally Cameron, Emmy Cameron, Chloe Cameron, J.T. McIntyre, Jon David McIntyre and Josey McIntyre; and her sister Kim Ozimek (Bob).

Martha will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all of those that knew and loved her.
