Martha G. Middleton

Memorial services for Martha G. “Mattie” (nee: Parker) Middleton, 88, of Willowick, will be at 8 PM on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Thursday, prior to the service.

Mrs. Middleton passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Friday, March 6, 2026.

Born April 3, 1937 in Duntocher, Scotland, she immigrated to the United States in 1962 and has lived in Lake County for the past 64 years.

She was an avid lifelong reader, whose favorite author was James Patterson; she also enjoyed baking, especially shortbread, Christmas cookies and chocolate chip cookies. She loved all Cleveland sports teams, Ohio State Buckeyes Football, and watching the Premier Soccer League, Turner Classic Movies and her favorite soap operas, The Young and the Restless and General Hospital. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Survivors are her children, Jeannie (Tim) Gallagher, David (Sara) Middleton and John Middleton; grandchildren, Tommy Gallagher, Elizabeth Gallagher, Ally Middleton, Jacquie Middleton, Justin Middleton, Ian Middleton and Hayley Middleton; sisters, Rena Wilson, Jean Parker, Elizabeth (Jim) Nicol and brother, Arthur (Anna) Parker. She also leaves her sister-in-law, Sadie Parker and many nieces and nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Leslie Middleton, on April 17, 2024; her parents, Richard and Martha (Cardoo) Parker, sister, Mary Deas, brother, Richard Parker, brother-in-law, Jackie Wilson and grandson, Timmy Gallagher.
