Martha Olevie Mutter, born on October 11, 1932, in Greensburg, Kentucky, passed away on January 21, 2026, at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. She was a beloved figure in her community, known for her warmth, generosity, and creativity.
Martha took great pride in her role as a homemaker, providing a loving and nurturing environment for her family. She worked alongside her husband, Robert Lenvile Mutter, helping to sell catfish to local farmers. Her entrepreneurial spirit didn't stop there; she cultivated a ceramic shop that became a cherished place for many. Those who had the pleasure of attending her classes fondly remember the unique pieces they created under her guidance, treasures they continue to hold dear today.
In addition to her business pursuits, Martha was a dedicated member of Grace Baptist Church. She also spent several years teaching Sunday School for several years at various churches. Her contributions to the church and her unwavering faith made a lasting impact on her community. She also enjoyed spending time with her daughter attending Bible Study Fellowship.
Martha had a passion for reading, often immersing herself in literature that stimulated her mind and inspired her soul. Her intellectual curiosity and boundless creativity enriched the lives of those around her.
She is survived by her daughter, Denise Strader, and son-in-law Joe Bryan; her grandchildren, Nick Strader and Andrew Strader; her brother, Tommy Pendleton; and nieces, Vivian Garrett and Valerie Grant.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Phillip Pendleton and Lera Lee Pendleton, her husband Robert, and her sister-in-law Connie Pendleton, in eternal peace.
