Martha S. Ramsay

Martha Ramsay, born October 5, 1925, in Germany, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026, at the age of 100.

Martha was predeceased by her parents, Fritz and Anna Schroedl, and her husband, Glendon J. Ramsay. She is survived by her son, Thomas G. Ramsay (Marie D’Amico); her daughters-in-law, Catherine D’Amico (Scott Byers) and Allie D’Amico (fiancé, Mark Saltrelli); as well as other loving family members and friends.

Martha came to America with her parents when she was seven years old. She graduated from Nazareth Academy and married the love of her life, Glen, in 1947. She worked as a secretary at Eastman Kodak for many years. She enjoyed convivial relationships with her neighbors on Michelle Drive in Irondequoit, where she lived from 1958 to 2018.

The family extends their most sincere gratitude to the dedicated staff at St. Ann’s Community at Cherry Ridge, who provided exceptional care to Martha since 2018. They also wish to thank Dr. Ronald J. Umansky for his many years of compassionate and professional care.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Farrell-Ryan Funeral Home and Cremation Services. A service will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m., with a procession and burial at Riverside Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Ann’s Community at Cherry Ridge in honor of their beloved Martha.
