Martha Reeder, 87, passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2025.

Martha was one of eleven siblings. She was born on March 2, 1938, in Macon, GA to the late Lloyd Lewis Bryant and Ella Mae Bryant.

Martha’s kindness was felt wherever she went. A devoted volunteer at the Museum of Aviation, she poured her time and enthusiasm into supporting a place she cherished.

Her own home was a sanctuary of plants and animals. Martha loved tending to her flowers and plants, finding joy and peace in nurturing the beauty around her. Over the years she rescued many animals, offering safety, comfort, and unwavering compassion. Her dedication was so fierce that she occasionally found herself in trouble, never out of malice, but out of a deep conviction to protect animals she believed were not being properly cared for. To Martha, doing the right thing always outweighed the consequences.

Martha will be remembered for her determination, her humor, and the extraordinary compassion that guided every part of her life. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives, human or furry, that she touched.

She will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at Parkway Memorial Gardens. Following fellowship and food at The Farmhouse at McCullough Funeral Home.

The family ask that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Pawesome Southern Rescue.
