Martin Barry Eberhardt, 86, of Crystal Lake, IL, passed away on March 15, 2025, surrounded by family. He was born on August 6, 1938, on Long Island, NY, and was raised there before graduating from Holy Cross College in Worcester, MA.

Martin met his wife, Kathy, on a Long Island beach when they were young adults. They married on February 4, 1961, during a snowstorm, and went on to raise their family in Crystal Lake, Illinois.

Martin worked for over 30 years as a sales consultant for TAM Ceramics until his retirement. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, traveling, and especially loved visiting Cape Cod and Door County – with road trips being one of his favorite pastimes. He was a voracious reader and a student of history.

Martin is survived by his children, Barry (Robin) and Kevin (Karen); as well as grandchildren Ellis and Julia, Connor and Carter. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kathy; his son, Christopher John, and by his parents, Fred and Eileen Eberhardt.
