Martin Lincoln Eliason, age 74, passed away and was reunited with his beloved wife on October 20, 2025 in Lehi, Utah. He was born on November 27, 1950 in Salt Lake City, Utah; the eldest son of the 11 children of Lincoln Robison and Cleo Hinckley Eliason. A devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Martin led a life filled with service and unwavering faith. He proudly served a two-year mission in Sweden, where he shared his beliefs and touched the lives of many. After his return, he entered the US Marine Corps in 1970.

Having ten siblings, Martin deeply valued family connections, cherishing the relationships he cultivated throughout his life. He dedicated much of his career to working as a truck driver, a profession that allowed him to meet many different people. On September 4, 1980, he married his sweetheart, Sally Hoyle, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple, where they were sealed for time and all eternity.

They made their home in West Valley, Utah, and raised their four beloved children. Family was the cornerstone of Martin’s life, and he derived great joy form simple pleasures. He found fulfillment in journaling, where he captured his thoughts and experiences. Martin loved spending time outdoors – camping, fishing, and hunting pheasants on the family farm. He also had a passion for gardening and burning weeds, proudly embodying the spirit of a true country boy. Known for his patience and kindness, Martin made a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Martin is survived by his four children: Derrick (Ashley), Alex, Rashelle, and AJ; along with four beloved grandchildren: Brynlee, Madisyn, Camden, and Emrey. He is preceded in death by his parents: Lincoln and Cleo; his wife: Sally; sister: Colleen; and brother: Justin.

Martin’s memory will forever be cherished for his kindness, steadfast faith, and deep commitment to family.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 25, at 12:00 noon, at the Deseret-Oasis LDS Chapel, 3423 West 4500 South, Delta. A Viewing will be held, 10:30-11:40AM, prior to the service. Those unable to attend may view the recorded service. Interment with military rites will follow at the Deseret Cemetery.
