Monson-Martin W. Fales, Sr, known to many as Marty, passed away on November 29, 2025, at the age of 68. He was born on November 23, 1957, in Framingham, MA, and spent over 41 years as a resident of Monson.

Martin dedicated 37 years of his life working as a machinist at Cuno, which is now part of 3M, in Stafford, CT. After a long and fulfilling career, he retired, but not before leaving a mark as a hardworking and dependable member of the team. Those who knew Marty can recall his warm personality and willingness to help others. He loved to lend a hand, whether it was fixing something or giving someone a much-needed ride. He was often seen with a coffee from "Cumby's" in hand, ready to engage with anyone he met.

An avid tinkerer, Martin enjoyed working on cars and clocks, and he had a notable collection of both. He cherished his weekends spent at tag sales and exploring antique shops, always on the lookout for a special find. In his downtime, he loved watching shows like American Pickers and Oak Island, which sparked his fascination with history and discovery.

Marty is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Lori J. (Foster) Fales. He leaves behind his son, Martin W. Fales, Jr., and his wife Meagan of Palmer; his daughters, Sara Ramsdell and husband Kevin of Stafford, and Melissa Fales and her partner Ben Hassman of Monson. He was also a proud grandfather to Madilyn, Charlotte, Meah, Olivia, and Axel. His legacy continues through them. He is also survived by his brother Robert F. Fales of Florida, and his sisters MaryAnn Fales of Florida, Linda Martin of Vermont, Annie Stupski of Massachusetts, Allison Kwasniwski of Massachusetts, and Ina Fales of Massachusetts.

Marty was predeceased by his parents, Frank W.B. and Catherine (DeFazio) Fales.

A visitation in his memory will take place at Lombard Funeral Home located at 3 Bridge Street, Monson, MA 01057, on Sunday, December 7, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

Marty will be remembered fondly by all who knew him, not only for his unique interests and skills but for the kindness he showed to everyone around him.
