Martin "Marty" L. Keim, 67, of Kewanee, passed away Friday, June 6, 2025, at Silvis Center Nursing Home, Silvis. Martin was born April 15, 1958, in Kewanee, the son of Dwain L. Keim and Marilynn L. (Miller) Woods. He graduated from Kewanee High School with the class of 1976.
Martin is survived by his siblings, D. David (Patricia) Keim, East Peoria, LuAnn (David) Sopiars, Kewanee; stepmother, Kathy Atwell, Andover, IL; stepsister, Sandy Foster, Davenport; nieces and nephews, Gina (Tyler) Gorman, Lucas Haupt, Ricky Keim; numerous great nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews. Martin was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Virgil Woods; brother, Richard A. Keim; stepbrother, Brian Knapp; and a niece, Jenny Keim Nelson.
Martin was a man of many talents. Martin enjoyed being a chauffeur for Act II, where he had the privilege of driving the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders to various places and numerous celebrities. He also enjoyed chauffeuring at the John Deere Classic. He was a bartender at the Belgium Village. During his later years he worked at the welcome center on IL 80 on the Illinois side, where he helped people find interesting places to visit in Illinois. Martin was a pool shark and enjoyed gambling at the river boats.
Per Martin's wishes cremation will be accorded. There will be a private celebration of life at a later date. Online condolences for Martin's family may be made at www.golnickschuenemanfh.com.
