Marty left this world on December 6, 2024 to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He spent his final days surrounded by his beloved family and friends. Marty was born on August 21, 1949 to John F. and Ruth (Peterson) Coleman; he grew up in the Eastwood section of Syracuse.
Marty is survived by his wife of 53 years, Bonnie (LaValley) Coleman, his children: Jim (Lela), Brian (Andrea), Chrisann (Bert Rosenberg), and Katie; by his much-loved grandchildren: Jacob, Gabby Fuller, Ariel (Cody Neish), Nate, Izzy, and Gabby Coleman, Maddy and Liam Rosenberg; and by his amazing Mom, Ruth Coleman, his sisters Lynn (Bill McAvoy) and Wendy (Jessie Blake), and his brother, Terry.
He was predeceased by his father, John, and his sister, Kristine Marie.
Calling hours will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at The Orchard Church, 5863 East Circle Dr., Suite 20, Cicero, NY (Driver’s Village Campus). Funeral Services will follow immediately at The Orchard Church.
Donations in Marty’s memory may be sent to The Orchard Church, PO Box 333, Clay NY 13041.
Thanks to the staff at Seneca Dialysis for the care given to Marty and also to the family, friends, neighbors, and aides who enabled Marty to spend his final days at home.
