Martin Joseph Prebble age 62 of Muir passed away January 2, 2026 from natural causes. He was born on October 24, 1963 in Lansing. The son of Clarence and Margaret (Hooks) Prebble also of Muir. Martin married Nancy Brooks (Prebble) in May of 1985 and together raised four children at their home just north of Muir.

Martin enjoyed hunting, camping and exploring ORV and country roads with his loved ones via side-by-side. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family at camp (Serenity Grove) in Northern Michigan. Martin was a general tinkerer of most things mechanical in nature. He loved to joke and laugh with his family, friends and dogs.

Surviving is his wife Nancy Prebble of Muir. Children, Wayne (Kristen) Cantwell of Marquette, Joe (Jill) Cantwell of Muir, Rebekah (Ron) Jarman of Ionia and Annette (Brandon) Harder of Saranac. Grandchildren, Jordan Jarman, Kloe Jarman, Malori Mathis, Olivia Cantwell, BellaRae Harder and Nixohn Harder. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Lynne Randall and Wendy Mason and brother, David Prebble.

A Graveside Service will be held on May 24th, 2026, at 11 AM at North Plains Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be following at 12 PM at the Village of Muir Community Room. Arrangements in care of Lake Funeral Home in Ionia. Online condolences may be made at www.lakefuneralhomes.com
