Your dad was one of my favorite people. He was a great boss. I had known him since the CJ Murphy days when they purchased DG Moulding.
When he was manager of the Indiana branch of Shelter Components, we all had a great time at work. He would make sure we had the greatest Halloween parties ever and was Santa Claus when we had our Christmas parties for children and elderly.
I followed him when Shepherd Distribution was a spin off of Kevco and we had a great small group we worked with.
He once kept telling me about this yellow cat that kept hanging around his house. The next thing I knew he brought the cat into work and told me do "do something with this cat, he is sleeping in my corvette". I took that cat home and named him Ripley and had him for 19 years.
After he retired, he would still stay in touch and sometimes stop by the barn where I keep my horses while on his way to Kruises.
I know he is with his family and animals now and I feel comfort in that.
I will always miss him.
