Marva Davis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Paradise Memorial Funeral Home - Miami on Dec. 26, 2025.
A Time to be Born:
Marva Rean Maycox, an identical twin to Marva Jean Maycox, was born on March 3, 1941, in Miami, FL, to proud parents, William and Vera Maycox. They were the sixth and seventh of eight children. Marva Rean's parents along with her siblings: Wilbur Maycox, Viola McClain, Nerlene Maycox-Spencer, Elnora Ferguson, Robert Maycox, Marva Jean Maycox-Jenkins, and Ronald Dawkins, preceded her in death.

A Time to Build:
At an early age, Marva Rean grew to know the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and patterned her life that she would be a beacon of light. She was a member of the Triumphant Church of God of Prophecy in Goulds, FL, under the leadership of Bishop Simeon Downs. Marva served faithfully until her health began to decline.

Marva Rean received her basic education through the Dade County Public School system and graduated from Mays High School. She went on to attend Wayne Community College, School of Nursing in Goldsboro, NC where she earned her certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She gained employment as an LPN with a hospital in North Carolina.

A Time to Love:
Early on, Marva Rean met and married William McConico. To this union one loving son was born. Marva Rean and her family relocated to Alaska where her husband was stationed in the military. William preceded Marva in death. Later, Marva Rean met and was united in holy matrimony to Leonard Davis in Miami, Florida.

After relocating back to Miami, FL, Marva Rean found employment at Gramacy Nursing and Rehab Center. She retired from her nursing career after 30 plus years.

A Time to Die:
On December 20, 2025, Marva Rean Davis completed her task here on earth.

Marva leaves to mourn; a devoted son Claython McConico (Kim) of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren: Travis and Hannah McConico of Jacksonville, FL; sister-in-law Barbara Maycox, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will miss her presence.
