Marvin Franklin Brown

Marvin Franklin Brown of Derma, MS passed away on March 2, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on February 22, 1950, in Vardaman, Mississippi to Travis and Abbie Brown.

Marvin is survived by his three children: Erica (Brooks) Vanderpoel of Derma, MS, Christopher (Tiffany) Brown of Guntown, MS, and Stephen Brown of Corinth, MS. He cherished his grandchildren: Madison Brown, Courtney Brown, Cody Vanderpoel, Hannah Tipton, Samuel Tipton, Montana Brown, Piper Brown, and Noah Brown, along with his 3 great-grandchildren who will carry his memory forward.

Marvin worked at Haworth Industries for many years before retiring. In his spare time he enjoyed a simple life filled with fishing, mud riding, and working on lawn mowers and trucks.

A visitation will be held in his honor on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM at the Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Bruce, Mississippi. Following the visitation, a memorial service will take place at the same location at 2:00 PM with Bro. Phil Lucius officiating.

Marvin Franklin Brown will be deeply missed but remembered with love and fondness by his family and friends.

Marvin was preceded in death by his father Travis Walker Brown, mother Abbie Marie Franklin Brown, sister Linda Sossman, and brothers Donald Brown and Dean Brown.
