Marvin D "Buck" Cowles, 79 of Bowling Green passed peacefully on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at the Medical Center.
The Warren County native was a son of the late J.D. Cowles and Hallie Marie Watt Cowles. He is preceded in death by a son Marvin D Cowles, Jr.; one brother, Gary Cowles and one sister, Joann Tabor. Marvin was a truck driver for UPS Freight, a member of Boiling Springs Church of Christ and was the caretaker of the cemetery for many years.
His survivors include his wife of 45 years, Donna Cowles; three children, Brad Cowles (Toni), Tracy Mitchell (Jim) and Shauna Borowski; six grandchildren, Hallie Cowles (Corey), Dalton Wilson (Faith), Robby Rounds (Kasey), Bryan Bratcher, Laynie Mitchell and Katelyn Borowski (Jayden); two great grandchildren, Lyla and Jayce Rounds; three sisters, Leona Poston, Geraldine Kester and Sue Marcum; several nieces and nephews; and two sisters-in-law, Joyce Barrow (Don) and Deanna Harwood (Tim).
The funeral service for Marvin will be at 12 noon on Wednesday at Boiling Springs Church of Christ with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. Tuesday and 9:00- 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel.
