When I was a little boy, going to Westcliff Elementary in Ft Worth, I was a Cub Scout selling Boy Scout cookies. The gentleman would buy the cookies from me and shake my hand. He had bought several times from me and I never forgot him. His advice to me, "Never give up. " God rest his soul.

There are no words for expressing grief over the death of a GREAT MAN who was not afraid to challenge Schlumberger and had succeeded in this intention. For me it was a teacher, friend, wonderful engineer, manager, kind-hearted person. We are familiar and met from 1974 to 2010. He largely determined my fate, especially during the difficult time for Russia in the 90s. Marvin, a deep bow and thank you so mach. YOU WILL ALWAYS BE IN OUR HEARTS.

Marvin visited Gearhart in Sale Gippsland and we all enjoyed his visit. I also understand he enjoyed the fishing in Australia. Our condolences.

Marvin came to visit us at Go Well Services at Talara Peru. We had a barbecue for the workers and Marvin cooked the hamburgers and serviced them to the workers. One worker who was wearing a GO uniform said to me in Spanish How could such a great man be so humbleWhen I translated to Marvin what the man said tears came to Marvin's eyes.
Marvin was truly a great but humble man.

There is none as big as the phenomenon know as Marvin Gearhart. I had the honor of starting my career with Gearhart in Aberdeen, Scotland in 1985. Nearly 3 decades later I met the great man at the Gearhart Exes reunion during OTC. Truly an amazing person and an encounter I will never forget. RIP.

Marvin Gearhart is a legend and leaves a forever imprint in our heart. I'll always remember his big smiles as he walked through the machine shop stopping periodically to talk about his TCU Horn Frogs. RIP My Friend, Bill and Steve Thornburg

Marvin was such a wonderful man to know and work for. Loved and admired by all who knew him. I was blessed to work for Marvin from 1974-1989. The best years working in a family environment. I will always remember those years with a happy heart. I am now retired and still remember the Gearhart days with fondness and joy. My condolences to and prayers for his children and grandchildren. Such loss for Marvin and Jan to pass so close. But for him I'm sure it was comfort not to miss her longer.

Marvin Gearhart was a great man. I worked for him from 1980 - 1987. At the Everman Electronics building. Enjoyed my time with the Company. Also enjoyed playing chess with his son Dale. I pray the Lord will bless your family to be reconciled to His will.
