Marvin Haddock Obituary

Marvin Haddock, Jr. Ayden - Marvin Haddock, Jr., 67, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2025.

The funeral service will be held Saturday at 4 PM in the Farmer Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3 to 4 PM.

Marvin spent his early childhood in Virginia and moved to the Greenville area at the age of 15, where he graduated from J. H. Rose High School. He worked as an electrician for ECU for 32 years, retiring as Supervisor for the Brody Building. Marvin loved classic cars and was proud of his '55 Chevrolet Bel Air. He made many fond memories traveling to car shows with the Backyard Bandits Car Club. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time at the beach. In his younger years, Marvin loved shag dancing and danced competitively. Marvin was known for his love of cooking and grilling. He made friends wherever he went and was always the life of the party.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Arleen Haddock; and brother, Johnny Haddock.

He is survived by his daughter, Kristen Haddock Foley and husband, David; grandson, Ashton Etheridge; sisters, Peggy Quick and husband, Billy, Debbie Jennelle, and Wanda Haddock Eddinger and husband, Randy Skinner; and a number of nieces and nephews.
