Marvin Hayze Mitchell

Marvin Hayze Mitchell - age 74, of Knoxville, TN, went to be with the Lord on December 19, 2025. He was a deacon at Little Valley Baptist Church and Spiritual Baptist Church. Besides his lifelong commitment to his faith, Marvin impacted many throughout his life, leading choir at Little Valley, visiting the sick, and serving the Lord in dozens of ways. He was a dedicated employee at Aggregates U.S.A. for 49 years before his retirement.
Marvin was preceded in death by his Wife, Kathryn Helton Mitchell; Parents, John Samson and Thelma Hazel Mitchell; Sisters, Wanda Evans, Shirley Patty, Evelyn Dockery and Barbara Mitchell; and Brothers, Lowell Mitchell and George Mitchell.
He is survived by his Son and Daughter, Stan R. Mitchell (Jaimie) and Nikki Hood (Chris); Grandchildren, Kristen Hood and Jacob Jamison; Brother, Sammy Mitchell (Karen); Brother-in-Law, Robert Dockery; and Sister-in-Law, Cindy Mitchell.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Saturday, December 20, 2025 in the Chapel of Bridges Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM, with Rev. Henry Greer officiating. Family and friends will meet at Liberty Hill Cemetery on Sunday, December 21, 2025 at 4:00 PM for graveside service and interment.
