Marvin Otto Schroeder Jr., 74, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2026.
Marvin was born on February 6, 1951, to Marvin Sr. and Alvina Schroeder, in Taylor, Texas, where he spent most of his life. He grew up with two older sisters Martha Hobbs and Laverne Scott. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith.
Marvin was a graduate of Taylor High School in 1969. He soon began working in the construction industry and became a master electrician. He owned and operated Schroeder Electric for many years but eventually retired as a home builder for Centex Homes. Marvin enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and friends.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, his son Paul Schroeder and infant son James Schroeder.
He is survived by his sisters, his son Chris Schroeder; his grandchildren, Cody Schroeder, Courtnie Whitson (Nicholas), and Olivia Jefferson; and great-grandchildren, Millicent, William, and Prudence Whitson.
Graveside services will be held on Monday February 2, 2026 at 11 AM at Taylor Cemetery.
