A Mass of Christian Burial for Marvin William Strunk of Winfield, MO will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Troy, MO. Father Tom Wissler, church pastor, will officiate with burial at 12:30 p.m. in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. Serving as pallbearers will be Bud Strunk, Gordon Strunk, Jerry Judd, Alek Rudloff, Blake Rudloff, Josh Bruce, Marvin Rudloff and Carter Rudloff. Mr. Strunk, 65, passed away Friday afternoon, March 8, 2013 at the home of his good friends Jerry & Linda Judd in Old Monroe, MO. Born November 3, 1947 in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of George W. and Vivian Anderson Strunk. He served his country during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Army from May 9, 1968 until he was honorably discharged on February 8, 1970. He was employed for a number of years at Turf Brokers, Inc. in Winfield. He enjoyed tinkering with cars and motors. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Vivian Strunk; and his sister-in-law, Iris Strunk. Survivors include his son, Marvin Keith Rudloff of Affton, MO; and five grandchildren: Josh, Alek, Blake, Kaelyn and Carter Rudloff. He also leaves two brothers: Bud Strunk and his wife, Joyce, of Winfield, and Gordon Strunk of Bridgeton, MO; three sisters: Vivienne Keeven and her husband, Ed, of Moscow Mills, MO, Aileen Derhake and her husband, Bob, of St. Ann, MO, and Carol Farmer and her husband, Jim, of Warrenton, MO; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2013 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield. Memorials may be made to Lincoln-Pike Counties Drug Court Alumni Group in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 3838 East Highway 47, P.O. Box 253, Winfield, MO 63389.
