Marvin Dale Swain, 89

Marvin Dale Swain, age 89, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2026. He was born on October 22, 1936, in Wimauma, Florida.

Marvin proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and later built a long and dedicated career with Anheuser-Busch, from which he retired. He spent many years living in Brandon, Florida, before moving to Inglis, and ultimately made his home in Perry, Florida for the past 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Roberta Swain; his parents, B.J. Swain and Frankie Swain; his brothers, Julian Swain and Frank Swain; his sister, Goldie M. Swain; his nephew, Jack Swain; his niece, Deanie Mullins; and his son-in-law, Marty Sandlin.

Marvin is survived by his loving daughter, Gail Sandlin; his grandchildren, Chris Sandlin (Sheila), Whitney Hopkins (Bryce), and Tyson Sandlin (Samantha); as well as four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind extended family and many dear friends who will miss him greatly.

Marvin had a deep love for travel. He enjoyed the outdoors and found great happiness in fishing, hunting, and caring for animals of all kinds-especially his many cows. He also enjoyed trips to the casino, where he liked to try his luck and spend time having fun.

A viewing will be held on Friday, March 27, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Sun City Center Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 PM at Fellowship Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Wimauma, Florida.
