Marvin Lee Tanner, age 81, of Marion, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at his home in Marion, Illinois.
Marvin was born December 5, 1940 in Creal Springs, Illinois, a son of Louis and Edith (Colboth) Tanner. He married the love of his life, Vicki Lee Nelson on May 14, 1971. She survives. Prior to his retirement, marin had worked as an electrician.
He is survived by his spouse Vicki Lee (Nelson) Tanner of Marion, IL; three sons, Daniel Lee Tanner, Kermit Shane Tanner, and Kelly Dale (Rachel) Tanner; grandchildren- Christian, Ethan, Landon, Crosby, Sam, Corinne, and Sydney Tanner, and one great granddaughter; four siblings, Roger Dale (Joann) Tanner, Betty (Ed) Cooper, Sharon (Leon) McDonald, and Nancy Pappas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Edith (Colboth) Tanner and his brothers, Donald, Kenneth, Wayne and Randall Tanner.
Visitation will be Monday, May 9th, 2022 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Funeral Service will be held Monday, May 9, 2022, 1:00 PM at Blue Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Troxel officiating. Burial will follow at New Salem Cemetery in Creal Springs.
