Marvin Harold Walz, 80 has been released into the arms of Jesus at 2:00 am, Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at The Towne House Retirement Center in Fort Wayne. Born in Jerome, ID, Marvin worked for Church Growth Services of South Bend, IN for 25 years and Senior Consultant with Resource Services for 17 years, retiring in 2002. He attended Blackhawk Christian Church Seniors group; Board Member of National Association of Evangelicals (NAE). Marvin enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. "He was a faithful father and husband who was generous and kind to us way beyond what we deserved. His life work was his calling, he did it with conviction and always knew that the Lord would provide what we need and anything more was a blessing. I never knew him to questions God's ways, even when times were hard." Surviving are his loving wife, Delina V. Walz of Fort Wayne, IN son, Kenton A. (Sheri) Walz of Fort Wayne, IN daughter, Gilda "Jill" Renee (Thomas) Pace of Peoria, AZ grandchildren, Cody and Shelby Walz sisters, Elene Randall of Napa, ID; Laverna Schafer. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Magdalena Walz, sister, Arvadella Walz, brother, Wilbert Walz. Service is 11:00 am. Friday, February 8, 2013 at Towne House Retirement Community Chapel, 2209 St Joe Center Road, Ft. Wayne, In with calling one hour prior and Rev. Douglas Vogel officiating. Calling also Thursday, February 07, 2013 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Towne House Retirement Community Chapel. Burial in Riverview Cemetery , Churubusco, Indiana.
