On November 6, 2025, our beloved mother, Mary Lou Zamarron Andrews, released her earthly body and returned home to the eternal light of her Savior. She passed peacefully at home, exactly as she had asked her Heavenly Father for - stepping gracefully into spirit after 84 beautiful years of life.
Born on February 15, 1941, in San Angelo, Texas, Mary lived her life as a vessel of compassion, strength, and unwavering faith. Her gentle wisdom and steadfast trust in God were the foundation of her family. She faced every season with grace, every challenge with courage, and every day with gratitude.
Mary's deep love for Jesus was woven into everything she did - from her morning prayers over coffee to the way she comforted others with her words of faith. She believed that love was the truest reflection of God's presence, and she lived that truth joyfully. Her laughter, her prayers, and her faith filled every room with peace and light.
She was the heart of her family - a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She gave selflessly to all who crossed her path, always offering a listening ear, a warm meal, or a prayer. As a sister, she was a steady hand and a gentle soul - always ready to help her brothers and sisters, to guide, to comfort, and to love without measure. Her life was a testament to quiet strength and enduring faith, and her legacy continues through all who were blessed to know her.
Mary now rejoins her beloved husband, Volney Andrews, and her cherished children, Richard Duran, Mary Elda Terrazas, and Gregorio Duran Jr., in the eternal peace of Heaven.
Mary's love continues to shine through her children: Sylvia and husband David of Crockett, Texas; Kim Hunlich of Neumarkt, Bayern, Germany; Scott and wife Anna Andrews of Baytown, Texas; Amy and husband John Bigalow of Omaha, Nebraska; Bryan Andrews of Omaha, Nebraska; Sergio and wife Filomena Michelina Wright of Austin, Texas; Sarah and husband Carlos of Kyle, Texas; and Megan and husband Christopher Valva of Buda, Texas.
She is also lovingly remembered by her many grandchildren - Daniel and wife Julie Reaume of Austin, Texas; Stephanie and husband John Walker of Austin, Texas; Jeffrey and wife Jessica Cook of Port Ludlow, Washington; Brittany and husband Brandon Marsh of Crockett, Texas; Jimmy and wife Chelsea Pace of Hutto, Texas; Madison Duran of Austin, Texas; and Richard Duran of Dallas, Texas; David and wife Ashley Hunlich of Germany; Leslie and husband Dominik Palmer of Germany; Hanna and husband Floeian Hamata of Germany; Kevin Andrews and Austin Andrews of Baytown, Texas; Jacob Bigalow and Emily "Eden" Bigalow of Omaha, Nebraska. Her love also lives on in her many great-grandchildren, and many Nieces and Nephews, each one a cherished reflection of her faith and heart.
Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit lives on in the faith she nurtured and the love she gave. Her light remains a guiding presence for her family and all who were blessed by her kindness.
Her race is complete, but her love endures forever in our hearts.
May her soul rest in the arms of divine peace.
"I have fought the good fight,
I have finished the race,
I have kept the faith."
- 2 Timothy 4:7
