She was born on December 7, 1950, in Hollywood, Florida, to the late William Francis Morton and Dorothy Helen (Sutton) Morton.
Mary lived a life filled with love, kindness, and quiet strength. She will be remembered for her generous heart, her laughter, and her unwavering devotion to family and friends. Mary had a long and successful career as a mortgage loan officer and found great joy in spending her days playing pickleball and watching football.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jim Ballew; her son, Billy (William Glenn Roy III), with whom she shared a love for the Florida Gators - a bond that will forever remain a cherished part of their legacy; her parents, William and Dorothy Morton; her sisters, Alycia Eldridge and Jayne Ruley; her brother, Robert Morton; and her beloved dog, Jake.
Mary's memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her dearly. She is survived by her sister, Carole (David) Culver; her twin brother, Gary Morton; her stepdaughter, Katie Ballew; her former husband William Glenn Roy, Jr. and many nieces and nephews.
In keeping with her compassionate spirit, the family encourages those wishing to honor her memory to make a donation to an animal shelter of their choice.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. GO GATORS!
