Mary Elizabeth Cruz Arreguin

 

Mary Elizabeth Cruz Arreguin, 59, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas.

Mary was born on August 12, 1964, in Port Arthur to Carolyn Ann Ashby Cruz and Cruz Cruz.  She was a mother, grandmother who loved her family dearly.  Mary was a member of the Catholic faith and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Port Arthur in 1983.  She enjoyed watching her soap operas, listening to music and in her younger days loved to go swimming with her friends and family.  Mary never met a stranger and was very giving person and joyful to be around. 

Survivors include her children, Brandy Cruz of Port Arthur, Brandon Cruz and his wife Anna Cruz of Lumberton and Heidi Stawski of Lodi, California; five siblings, Cindy Cruz of Port Arthur; Clifford Cruz of Austin, Texas; Elaine Robin and her husband Todd of Vidor; Ella Cruz of Austin and Robert Cruz of Vidor; grandchildren, Berlyn Cruz of Lumberton, Jacob Cruz of Lumberton, Kenslee White of Lumberton, Anicia Stawski and Ismael Stawski both of Lodi, California; Bianca Carmona, Destiny Rivera and Lorna Shields all of Carrollton, Missouri.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Cruz and Carolyn Cruz; her sister, Cindy Cruz and her sister, Esparanza Cruz.

Private family cremation services will take place at a later date.  Arrangements are under the direction of Melancon-Levingston Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas.
