Mary Darlene Arwood, age 75, of Covington, Kentucky, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2025. She was born on March 7, 1950, in Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky, to the late Floyd and Hilda Spegal (nee Mire).
Mary was cherished for her warm personality and her sense of humor, always striving to elicit laughter among those around her. Her love and care particularly shone through in her relationships with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, with whom she enjoyed spending quality time and creating lasting memories.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Hilda Spegal; her late husband, Price Arwood, Sr.; her daughter, Darla Spegal; her grandchild, Hannah Flowers; and several siblings including sisters Florence, Anna, Jane, Faye, Lou, Rose, Ruth, and Nola, and brothers George, Will, and Ronnie.
She is survived by her children, Dawn Dmitriev, Robert Spegal, Toni (Stephin) Flowers, and Hilary Hubbard; step-sons Tony (Penny) Arwood and David Arwood; and a multitude of grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Steve Gibson, Dakota (Taylor) Hubbard, Jacob (Victoria) Hubbard, Austen Finley, Brandon (Ruthie) Arwood, Tucker Conway, Emily (Alex) Hyatt, Dalton Arwood, and many more who will carry her memory in their hearts. Additionally, she is survived by her sisters Clemmy and Linda, as well as sisters-in-law Laura and Dottie Spegal, along with numerous family members and friends.
A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, with a visitation from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions, located at 4350 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, Kentucky 41018. Following the service, a burial will take place at Wilmington Baptist Church Cemetery.
