Mary Back Obituary
Mary Ruth Back, 93, of Town Creek, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2025 at her home. Visitation will be from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM on Monday, December 01, 2025 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM at the funeral Home with Bro. Mike Price officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery.
Born on July 8, 1932 to the late George and Jenny Gibson Allen, Mary loved watching Wheel of Fortune, her baby dolls, and all her hummingbird figurines. She also enjoyed going out and sitting on her brother's porch.
Survivors include her sister, Ethel (Luther) Stewart; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Back; parents; daughter, Jean McGill; granddaughter, Kimberly Clardy; brothers, Charles Allen, Carl Allen, Bud Allen, Donald Allen, Willard Allen, Fred Allen, and Hollis Allen; and sisters, Naomi Adams, and Sybal Taylor.
Pallbearers will be Carl Allen, Jeremy Tidwell, Teran Gray, and Zaylen Scott.
The family extends special thanks to Amedisys Hospice, and all her nurses; Mrs. Dorothy, her sweet bath lady; and caregivers, Dustin Tidwell, Michael Allen, Nikki Allen, Kayla Scott, and Tonya Tidwell.
