Mary Baker Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by O'Brien-Sullivan Funeral Home on Apr. 26, 2022.
Mary Kenrick Baker died peacefully April 24, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was 72 years old. The oldest of 12 children, Mary was born November 19, 1949 in Detroit to Joyce (nee McInerney) and James F. Kenrick.
Mary enjoyed gardening, dancing, a good book, Motown music, and watching Law & Order. She not only enjoyed but was really great at decorating houses. A natural Interior Designer, she spent a lot of time in furniture and fabric stores making sure her selections were perfect. However, Mary's greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She adored her grandchildren and never missed a birthday or a special occasion. Mary was a kind, faith filled woman who never had a bad word to say about anyone. She will be remembered most for her contagious laugh and smile, her beautiful spirit, and her all-encompassing love of family.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, Mary was deeply loved and will be sorely missed by many.
Mary is survived by her beloved husband Ken and devoted children, Jason (Laura) Covitz and Teressa (Jason) Erickson. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Ashley Covitz, Ryan Covitz, Sean Covitz, Blake Erickson, Ashlyn Erickson, and Peyton Erickson and siblings, Pat (Larry) Yavello, Jim (Julie) Kenrick, Joe (Cyndi) Kenrick, Grace (Dave) Lucas, Marguerite (Rick) Peterson, Tim Kenrick, Harold (Amy) Kenrick, John (Ellen) Kenrick, and Gerard (Angie) Kenrick as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Joyce and her infant sisters, Joyce and Gemma.
