Mary Ann Beard, age 79 of Arrington, TN passed away August 25, 2025. She was born in Franklin, TN to the late William & Mildred Reed. Mary Ann was a former employee of CPS where she was a shift supervisor. She later went on to work at the Hallmark store. Mary Ann enjoyed spending time with her beloved dog, Molly. She also enjoyed cooking and canning vegetables. Mary Ann enjoyed collecting many things such as dolls, precious moments figurines and Longaberger baskets among other things. She enjoyed making homemade chex-mix and giving it out to friends and family. Mary Ann had recently became a big fan of Chicken Salad Chick! She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, James “Jim” Beard; brothers, William Reed, Jr., Robert Reed and George Reed; sister, Charlotte Kelley. Mary Ann is survived by her son, Jamie (Charlotte) Beard; sister, Lorene Smith; nephew, Bob (Shar) Langley; sister in-law, Dianne (Marty) Myers and many other loving nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 11:00AM Friday, August 29, 2025 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home. Jim Taylor will officiate. Burial will follow at Williamson Memorial Gardens. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to the Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute. Visitation will be 4-7PM Thursday and one hour prior to the service at WILLIAMSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 615-794-2289. www.williamsonmemorial.com
