Newcomer Funeral Home - West Metro ChapelMary Alice Becker, a beloved matriarch, was born on May 27, 1937, in Wichita Falls, Texas. She departed this life peacefully in her sleep on November 3, 2025, in Arvada, Colorado, leaving behind a legacy rich in love, faith, and family.
Throughout her life, Mary Alice exemplified the virtues of kindness and devotion. She and her late husband, Danny Lyle Becker Sr., built a thriving furniture and near-new store on N. Federal Blvd, a venture that sustained their family for over three decades. More than just a business, it was a testament to their teamwork and resilience—a partnership that flourished for 63 cherished years until Danny's passing in 2020.
Mary Alice was a dedicated servant of God. With a heart full of love, she spent years as a greeter at her church, finding joy in welcoming others and witnessing for the Lord. Her spirit was warm and inviting, qualities that resonated with everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
She found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life, often immersing herself in yard work and spending precious moments with her grandchildren, which brought her great happiness. She created a home filled with laughter and love, always encouraging and uplifting those around her, and exemplifying a life dedicated to faith.
Mary Alice was truly proud of her family, which includes her brother Bobby (Paulette); her sons Danny, Steve (Carol), and Todd; her grandsons Nick (Kelly), Kyle (Teresa), her granddaughters Shawna (Jesse), Brittany (Russell), Chelsea (Nick), Jade, and Jessie; as well as her cherished great-grandchildren Isaiah, Miley, Maxwell, Lucian, Braxton, Aubree, Houston, Lincoln, Oliver, Easton, Blakely, Catrina, Madilynn, Bryson and Chloe.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Danny Lyle Becker Sr. and her parents, Woodrow and Cora Humphries.
