Mary Ann Bell departed this life on Friday, November 7, 2025, at Mercy Jefferson Hospital at the age of 63. She was born on June 22, 1962, in Jefferson County, Missouri, to the late Jacob “Dee” Dobbs Sr. and Helen (Courtway) Dobbs.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Terry Bell; three children, Nick Maness, Candy Crawford and husband Joseph, and Kimberly Elder; step-son, Michael Bell; and step-daughter, Amy Burrus. She was the proud grandmother of ten grandchildren — Justin, McKayla, Brianna, Dalton, Ryan, Ma’shylle, Hayleigh and Jason, Malynn, Isabella, and Carter — and great-grandmother to eight great-grandchildren. Mary is also survived by her two brothers, Jake Dobbs and John “Jack” Dobbs, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Mary enjoyed playing bingo and cards, loved telling jokes, and had a wonderful sense of humor that could brighten anyone’s day. In years past, she found joy in camping and fishing, creating many cherished memories with loved ones. Above all, Mary treasured time spent with her family and friends. She had a heart for helping others, dedicating many years of her life to caring for those in need as a Certified Nursing Assistant and caregiver.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob “Dee” and Helen Dobbs; grandson, Kaden; two siblings, Idia DeClue and David Dobbs; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Melvin “Arky” and Donna Bell.
Mary will be remembered for her kind heart, devotion to her loved ones, and the laughter she brought to those around her. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A Memorial Visitation will be held at DeClue Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, from 3 to 5 PM, with a Celebration of Life beginning at 5 PM. Mary’s funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of DeClue Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
