Mary Rose Berry, age 94, Beloved Wife of the late Patrick "Joe"; Dear Mother of James (the late Pamela), Mary Jo ( Michael) Gogola, Kathy (Bob) Bauers, Kevin, Nancy (Tom) McInerney and Tommy ( Nichole); Devoted Grandma Rosie of Patrick (Kirsten), Bridget, Brendan (Kristen), Danny, Kevin, Megan, Ryan (Erin), Rachel and Sean; Cherished Great-Grandmother Rosie of Wyatt, Savannah, Emma, Kennedy, Ava, and Nora; Loving sister, aunt, cousin and friend to many.

Mary Rose was born on September 27, 1931 to Arthur Allen and Gertrude Madden in Chicago, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe, her parents, a sister and a brother. Mary attended St. Gregory school, where she was a proud majorette and later attended and graduated from Mundelein College, now affiliated with Loyola University. Mary met the love of her life, Joe, at a church dance in the spring of 1954. Mary married Joe in Chicago on May 14,1955. They soon started a family and moved to Elk Grove Village, where they spent the next 64 adventurous years. Mary’s most cherished career was raising their six children. She was a loyal member of Queen of the Rosary Parish. She was involved in many ministries, Religious Ed, Women’s club, bereavement team and Eucharist minister. She encouraged us to always be kind and help others. Mary was the most inclusive, kind, loving, faithful and giving woman. She made us feel loved. She will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers enjoy lunch with a friend.
