Mary M. "Sis" Bessler

 

Mary M. “Sis” Bessler (nee Dietz) 94 years of age passed away Monday at Rosedale Green Care Center. She was the loving wife of the late John A. (Bud) Bessler. Sis was preceded in death by her brothers Elmer C. Dietz , Don A. Dietz and daughter n law Carolyn Bessler.   Mary was the loving mother of Margie Kuhlman (Mike), Therese Middendorf (Dr. Mark), and Fritz Bessler (Lisa). Loving Grandmother to 14 grandchildren, and Great Grandmother to 24 great-grandchildren.  Brother, Vic Dietz (Tricia), Sister-in-Law, Eleanor Dietz, and Sister-in-Law, Joanie Schunder (Bill)

After retiring from a lengthy career at Kmart, where she was a supervisor, she spent her time volunteering at her church and helping out with the care of her many grandchildren. Sis was a great cook and enjoyed feeding her family and friends.  No one ever left her house hungry!  She had many friends and was a well-loved member of the community.

The family would like to take this time to acknowledge and thank the staff at Rosedale Green for the excellent and compassionate care provided to her during her time there.  

Visitation will be Thursday, October 19th  from 10:00 am until 11:30 am at Holy Cross Church. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30am. Burial will be at Mother of God Cemetery. The family requests in lieu of flowers, Memorial donations be made to : Rosedale Green 4250 Glenn Avenue, Latonia, KY 41015
