Loa, Utah - Beloved mother, Mary Ann Bliss, age 85, passed away on May 18, 2025, in Leeds, Utah.
Mary was born on March 24, 1940, in Bicknell, Utah, to Elmer Criss and Elma DeLeeuw Moosman. She grew up in Wayne County, where she spent most of her life. In her youth, Mary found joy in baking cookies, cakes, and candies, as well as in embroidery work and hairpin lace. She cherished her memories of riding her bike to Lyman with friends.
Mary married Chan (Chuck) Bliss in Provo, Utah, on October 15, 1955; he preceded her in death on March 30, 1990. Throughout her life, she enjoyed camping and fishing and had a deep affection for her dogs and cats. Mary took great pride in maintaining her yard and held a special love for the Christmas season.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Linda (Alma) Paulsen of West Jordan, Julie (Kim) Zentmyer of Fruita, Colorado, and Debbie (Doug) Davis of Leeds; her siblings, Dixie Christensen of Richfield and Talmage Moosman of Bicknell; as well as 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her son, Douglas (Doug) Bliss; grandson, Collin Turner; brother, Foster James (Jim) Moosman; brother-in-law, Keith Christensen; and sister-in-law, Kyleen Moosman.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at the Loa Cemetery. Friends may call for viewing at the Wayne County Community Center (88 West Center Street in Loa) from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. on the same day prior to the services.
Burial will take place in the Loa Cemetery under the care of Springer Turner Funeral Homes of Richfield and Salina.
