Mary Louise Bragg

Mary Louise Bragg, 85, of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024.  Born September 13, 1938, in Ridgetop, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late William Gilbert Key, Sr. and Carrie Lena Lassiter Key.

Her early Christian years were spent in Nashville, Tennessee, at Christ Church Nashville where she loved singing in the choir and traveling abroad with the church to Ukraine and Norway.  She loved to sing and sew.  One year Mary handmade 30 quilts which were sent to an orphanage in Albania.  She always had a heart for helping those in need.

Her latter years were spent in Goodlettsville, Tennessee, living with her daughter, Esther, and son-in-law Bobby, who cared for her throughout the last years of her life.  While in Goodlettsville, she became a member of Bellshire Assembly of God, and was known for sending cards to the sick and to any one needing encouragement.  

She will be missed by her family and friends, and by all the church members from Bellshire who became like family to her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband George W. Bragg; daughter Carrie Stinson; and grandson Christopher Lee Beatty.

She is survived by her daughters Esther (Bobby) Holt, and Diana (Mark) Sullivan; grandchildren Carrie Sullivan and Ben Sullivan.

Visitation will be 10am until 11:30am on Thursday, April 25, at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home in Goodlettsville.  A Celebration of Mary's Life lead by Pastor Scott Dobbins will follow at 11:30.  Burial will take place at Nashville National Cemetery.  Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
