While peacefully sleeping on Sunday, March 8, 2026, Mary Jane Fincher Brewer, 86, passed away at her daughter's home in Savannah, with her family by her side. Mrs. Brewer was an accomplished artist, a car enthusiast and member of the Dixie Land Cruisers, and the Corvette Club. She enjoyed reading, sewing, wood carving, and growing flowers in her yard.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, James Byron Brewer, two sons-in-law, Jamie Nelson, and Bob Torrescano, and her sisters, Dorothy Kutzler, and Peggy Borgfeld.

Surviving are her daughter, Stacey Torrescano, of Tallahassee, daughter, Julie Nelson of Savannah, her son, Craig Brewer (Renee') of Pooler, six grandchildren, Katie Sheats (Tim), Shelby Hicks (J.C.), Tommy Brewer (Abby), William Brewer, Trevor Brewer, Joseph Torrescano, and one great-granddaughter, Everleigh Sheats, and one sister, Wanda Hayes.
