Mary Louise Bricker, age 93 of Columbus, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 15, 2025.
She was born January 18, 1932, in Columbus, Ohio, daughter of the late Ted Fridley and Evelyn (Seymour) Fridley.
Mary graduated from Central High School in Columbus, Ohio. She married the love of her life on New Years Eve 1949. Mary retired from the Huntington Bank, but most of her years were spent at home raising 4 children. She was very involved in her children’s school activities, PTA, Variety Shows and summer fiestas.
Mary was a lover of music, she played the piano, and sang in the school choir. Her husband John also loved to sing and they both sang on the radio from time to time and they sang a duet “For You” a love song at their senior Variety Show. The home was always full of laughter and song from Lawrence Welk to Mitch Miller, and The Gaithers Vocal Band.
Up until the end Mary maintained her infectious smile, kindness, and love of family and friends. She will be forever missed, until we meet again.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, John E. Bricker, and also preceded in death by her sister and brother, Shirley and John.
Mary is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Steve and Jean Bricker, daughter, Brenda (Bricker) Roy and son-in-law Mike, daughter, Jeannine (Bricker) Stevens, and son Brian Bricker and daughter-in-law Amber.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 19, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home 3047 Dublin Granville Rd. Columbus Ohio. Burial will follow in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery 3225 Dublin Rd. Upper Arlington, Ohio.
Pallbearers are Blake Blackburn, Joe Crump, Bradley Fowler, Alex Kutscher, Gavin Roy, Matt Roy, and Adam Stevens.
