Mary Brock Obituary
NEW ELLENTON - Mrs. Mary "Joyce" Brock, 91, widow of the late Boyce Thomas Brock, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2024.
She was the daughter of the late Elmer Frady and Stella E. Stanton Frady. Joyce was born in Sanford, NC in 1933. She had three sisters and one brother, all of whom have since passed. Joyce married her husband Boyce T. Brock in 1951. They had 72 years together until his passing in 2023.
Survivors include her son, Steve (Patty) Brock; daughter Terry Brock (Keith Dobrzykowski); grandchildren, Chrissy Houseman, Justin (Renee) Brock, Savannah Brock, Jennifer (Raymond) Nicholson, Tony (Jennifer) Holton and numerous great-grandchildren whom she adored.
She worked at JB Whites in Aiken for over 35 years. Joyce often said, "when you work at a job you like, it really isn't work". She was a member of Chime Bell Church for many years. Joyce was a firm believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and resides with Him today.
The family will receive friends at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 11:00 AM with interment to be held in Southlawn Cemetery.
