Mary Ann Brosowski

Mary Ann Brosowski, nee Chrabaszewski, age 86, loving mother of Julie and Jeffrey (Christine); cherished grandmother of Jacob, Jenavieve and Brandon; dear sister of Edward (Judy), Cass (Denise), and the late Fran (Paul) Wear; beloved (Big) Ciocia to her nieces and nephews.

Mary Ann demonstrated a fierce love and dedication to her children while they were growing up and throughout their lives, attending all their sporting events while working full time and obtaining her college degree. Her determination was apparent in all that she did throughout her life.

Mary Ann was a proud retiree of Chrysler Financial where she worked in accounting for over 20 years. She took pride in working in the Detroit auto industry following in the footsteps of the many family members before her. Post retirement, she relocated to the Chicago area where she cherished the time she spent caring for her 3 grandchildren.

Mary Ann loved gardening and flowers, her green thumb was apparent in her impatiens that grew to the size of bushes and she was always willing to offer advice on how to perfect watering techniques to achieve the perfect flowers.

Mary Ann shared her faith through teaching catechism for many years and she enjoyed being an active member of her church's rosary group.

Mary Ann relished social gatherings with her family and friends and enjoyed a good meal out and of course always left room for dessert! She embraced the Polish customs she grew up with, passing them onto her children. Ja cie kocham, Matka. Mary Ann will always be known for her love of conversation. She will be greatly missed by all that were lucky enough to know her.

A memorial mass to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 10AM at Our Lady of Mt Carmel in Darien, IL.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in memory of Mary Ann to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Hinsdale Humane Society.
