Obituary published on Legacy.com by Robbins Brothers Funeral Home - Benton Harbor on May 25, 2024.
First Lady Mary Elizabeth Bullocks transitioned this life Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 66 years old. First Lady Mary Elizabeth Bullocks was born November 30, 1957, in
Sikeston, Missouri, the ninth daughter of John and Bessie Mae (Howell) Oliver.
In November 1966, the family moved to Lansing, Michigan, where they became members of Christ Temple Church under the leadership of the Late Bishop William H. Warren. Through her mother and the teachings, Mother Bullocks learned to love God with a burning passion that moved her to get baptized at the age of eight and receive the Holy Ghost by the age of nine. After receiving the Holy Ghost, she became highly active in her church. At 15, she was teaching the Adult Sunday School Class.
In 1976, Mother Bullocks graduated from Sexton High School. Sometime after graduating, Mother Bullocks moved to Benton Harbor, where she would become a member of Pentecostal Power under the Leadership of the Late Bishop Willis Baker. Mother Bullocks would meet Authur Lee Bullocks.
On June 10, 1978, in Lansing, Michigan, Bishop Baker united Brother Authur Lee Bullocks and Mary Elizabeth (Oliver) Bullocks. God blessed them with five children. After becoming a mother, they decided she would attend a trade school, pursuing her license in cosmetology. She graduated from Twin City Beauty College in 1987 and passed the Michigan State Board Test. Becoming a successful Entrepreneur allowed her to be dedicated to her husband's and children's lives. She continued in this business for 30 years until her health began to fail in 2017.
While working, she continued her passion for God as a teacher, spreading the Word of God to those unfamiliar with Him and encouraging everyone she could to obey Acts 2:38.
Brother Bullocks was called into the ministry in 1980, and in 1983, he was ordained as an Elder under Bishop Willis Baker's leadership. In 1986, Elder Bullocks was ordained as a Pastor and established the Pentecostal Apostolic Faith Peace Temple Church (PAFPT).
Mother Bullocks continued to work with and support Bishop Bullocks in the ministry. God continued to bless and elevate them as they served God through faithfulness, many tests, and trials.
Mother Bullocks would teach at the district level at the Northern District Sunday School convention. She served as the Women's Work President at Pentecostal Apostolic Faith Peace Temple, Northern District Women's Work President. In 2016, she became the National Pentecostal Power Inc. Women's Work President, she instituted the first Women's Work Conference. Mother Bullocks served as President from 2016-2018.
Although Mother Bullocks' illness limited her ability to travel to the conventions from state to state, the desire never left her heart. In May 2024, the National Pentecostal Power Inc. held its 70th-year Pentecost Convention in
Benton Harbor, Michigan. This allowed Mother Bullocks to fulfill a desire in her heart by attending another convention and fellowshipping with the saints of God.
She will be remembered for her faith and dedication to God and for standing firm in her belief that the FOUNDATION OF GOD IS SOLID AND DOES NOT WAIVER.
One of her last messages was, "What have you done in the between time, your dash?" She explained that the time between your sunrise and sunset determined your destination.
