Mary L. Capps

Mary L. Capps, age 82, of Knoxville, TN, formerly of Sevierville, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Mary cherished reading her Bible each day and spending time with her family, creating special memories that will be treasured forever. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Elsie Perry; son, James R. Capps Jr.; daughter, Tina M. Bible; brother, Gary Perry; and sister, Alice Llwellyn. Mary is survived by her daughters, Lisa Stewart and Sheila Winston; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Carl Perry Jr. and Bill Perry; and sisters, Judy Brewer and Hazel Myers. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 27, 2025, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at Rose Funeral & Cremation - Broadway, followed by a 7:30 PM funeral service officiated by Carl Perry Jr. and Bill Perry. Family and friends will gather at Union Cemetery on Union School Road in Strawberry Plains, TN, on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at 11:45 AM for a 12:00 PM graveside service.
