Mary Jo R. Conforti, 96, of Monroeville, and formerly of Lower Burrell, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.

She was born in Pittsburgh on May 15, 1929, to the late Nicholas & Carmela Divanti Ciccotelli, and received her associate degree in occupational therapy at the age of 53.

Mary Jo was a loyal member of Mount Saint Peter Roman Catholic Church of New Kensington, where she was a member of their choir, and was also a greeter and Eucharistic Minister there. She also belonged to the Ezekial 37 Prayer Group of the church, the Alle-Kiski Sr. Citizens Center of New Kensington and Tri-City Life, of Lower Burrell. She enjoyed line dancing, painting, playing cards and would often lead the Rosary at Beatty Point in Monroeville, and was an amazing cook!
Survivors include daughters, Daneen (Joe) Sabo, Pattijo (Vince) Dispenza, and Carmela (George) M. Beer; son-in-law, Bernard Dougherty; grandchildren, Joseph Sabo, Jr., Nicholas (Miriam) Sabo, Brian, James and Arleen Dougherty, Nicholas (Danielle) Dispenza, and Natalie (Darrin) Dispenza-Mosley; her great-granddaughter, Isabelle Dispenza; as well as step-children, Ventura (Dr. J.A.) Conforti, John (Denise) Conforti, and Maria (Jerry) Wolfe; and step-grandchildren, Mya, Jerry Lee, Christina, and Sandra.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Gustave Comunale; her second husband Giuseppe "Joe" Conforti; daughter, Rochelle C. Doughtery; and siblings, Michael, Tony and Florence Ciccotelli and Mary Comunale.

Viewing will be on Sunday, November 23, from 2-6PM in ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington, where prayers of transfer will be held Monday, November 24 at 9:30AM, followed by a Christian Funeral Mass at 10AM in MOUNT SAINT PETER ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 100 Freeport Road, New Kensington. Burial will follow in Good Shepherd Cemetery, Monroeville. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Holy Angels Parish Food Pantry, 201 Caldwell Avenue, Wilmerding, PA 15148.
