Thompson – Mary Sophie (Miecielica) Cotnoir, 85, of Quaddick Town Farm Road formerly of Pascoag, RI, died Thursday evening, September 8, 2023, at Matulaitis Nursing Home. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Victoria (Galek) Miecielica.
Mrs. Cotnoir worked for Guilford Manufacturing as a textile supervisor. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, gardening, watching sports, especially the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots and her grand dogs.
Mary is survived by her sons, Glenn Cotnoir and his girlfriend Nancy of Thompson, Gary Cotnoir of Pascoag Rhode Island; her daughters, Charlotte Jablonski of Dudley, MA, Donna Hall and her boyfriend Pete of Thompson and Laurie Bellauceau of Thompson; her stepsons, Jeffrey Cotnoir and his wife Brenda of Webster, MA and Bruce Cotnoir of Webster, MA; her niece, Gigi Rylah of Pascoag, RI, eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers,Edward Miecielica, Walter Miecielica and Stanley Miecielica and her sister, Helen Miller.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit Mary's family on Thursday, September 14, 2023, from 10:00AM to 12:00PM in the Valade Funeral Home and Crematory, 23 Main St., N. Grosvenordale, followed by a service in the funeral home at 12:00PM. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 280285, E.
